About OUR RECREATIONAL REFEREES

New and Returning Recreational Referees

We offer 4 recreational level referee courses per year. We recommend that new referees attend the course prior to the season starting not the mid-season course to get the in-depth level of training needed to start the season. They will also have the opportunity to start the season with our Soccer Jamboree. This Soccer Jamboree event kicks off our soccer season and allows new referees the opportunity to pick up 3 training matches while being supervised.

Mentorship Program

To ease new referees into live matches we are introducing a Mentorship Program to allow an experienced referee to work with a new or inexperienced referee for 3 matches. This will give the new referee that confidence needed to control the flow of a match and ensure everyone is safe and having fun. This includes the referees themselves.

Referee Program

Before a referee is ready to become a certified referee, we want to make sure they are prepared for each level of play. In our program certified referees can choose from a variety of levels of matches that include 7v7, 9v9, 11v11, NPL Matches, ECNL Matches, and Semi-Professional. Our referee pool also needs to be ready for matches outside of our program that may include other clubs, adult league, Sunday Leagues, high school, junior high, or college matches.

Certified Referees

Once a referee is certified they can go anywhere in the US and earn money while refereeing. There is a shortage of qualified referees, and we strive to not only encourage referees to get certified, but make sure they are qualified to referee the level of play they want to work. During the year we will hold 2-3 courses to get referees certified. This certification does have a cost associated with it, but it is minimal compared to the earning potential it provides.
